There are good cops, but most of them aren't in America, and don't carry a gun on the beat.

I love hating on cops but I wish we'd see the forest for the trees here. They're no better or worse than anyone else out there. Yet, they do have a badge and a gun and there is a frightening lack of oversight in their application. I think the bigger picture is that the days of "to protect and serve" are becoming just like a lot of things here in America, a privilege of the elite. For the rest of us, law enforcement is a blunt tool that too often kills the host along with the disease. There are good cops out there, just not enough. Just like the rest of the world. That said, fuck the police coming straight from The Underground.
