The entire tale of Robert Mugabe's life is a giant set of contradictions and retributions. Seeing Business Week talk about it is like having a Grimm's tale in the New York Times.

I still can't figure out how he has lived this long. The Devil must have huge plans for him.

Everyone worried that South Africa would fall apart when Madiba passed. I'm far more worried about the backlash when Mugabe dies and the largely unemployed people turn on the Zanu-PF.

...and to think Zimbabwe was once the breadbasket of southern Africa. Once actual farmers have farm land again (instead of Zanu-PF lackeys that only know violence), it could be again. The soil will be lush from underuse, and perhaps the occasional body of a tortured man.
