A system of government where you get up and vote on the day's issues like the modern day equivalent of reading the paper. Most all libraries have a computer where people without access to the internet could participate if they like the appropriate technologies.
With that situation, fewer decisions would be made by a an elected minority (which are selected from a small privileged minority) and more decisions would be made by the general population through the implementation of technology and a revised idea of patriotism (where in we dont support just support our troops and show at Walmart but actively participate in government). sorry for the run on sentence
I was discussing this with some friends, a lot of people like to boast that the american system of government was written advance along with technological progress but I think the system is the limiting factor. It may be that people are too hesitant to abandon the systems situated to make voting easier during times before unlimited real-time communication (eg. electoral college), politicians have learned to alter the current system to their benefit (eg. gerry mandering), or the lethargy instilled in government jobs. Either way, i think the system is too convoluted.
