Those x-axis tick labels freak me out. I started editing them with GIMP on Windows but it crashed. Hnggh.

I think I have a bad habit of getting distracted from the actual content.

GIMP makes me sad. I made an effort to go linux completely, and it was GIMP more than anything else that brought me back to Windows.

I don't mind GIMP on linux. I imagine the biggest gripe for most new GIMP users was the floating window layout. With the version 2.8 came the single window mode which makes it so much more suitable for the typical user. Have you tried that?

Thanks, I forgot to reply to delta here. Now that you mention it, I do think that the floating window layout was one of my biggest issues with GIMP. I was editing a book with many images, and I remember being frustrated at the organization.

Maybe I'll have another go at it.

Ah, that frustrates me as well. I assume the layout is tabbed in PS?

Why? I'm not challenging your opinion, but I'd like your insight. I've always used GIMP because I can't afford PS and pirating it isn't an option for me.
