It must be awful. I can't even imagine what it would be like to have to pretend to be sad about someone dying who made so many suffer so much, but personally suffered so little.
My wife and I were in Geneva in the summer of 2008 for a conference. We took a walk and happened upon what we assumed was the North Korean embassy. It was a very nice gated house on a hill with a board showing Kim Jong-Il and wonderful things about North Korea on it. Interestingly, his son was there at the time, but we didn't know it.
