People are definitely going to have to be more discerning as they look at crowd-funding projects. It's funny, the upside to these sorts of things is anyone can put forth an idea and ask for funding and the downside is anyone can put forth an idea and ask for funding. I try to look at these things as investments but all to often people look at them as online shopping with a really large shipping time. On a side note, the comments for the project in question is odd. Maybe it's just because I'm not logged in or something but I can only see one of the (currently) 6 comments which seems to be referencing a now invisible comment.
I saw the comments section too and thought it was weird that its only showing 1 out of 6 comments. The one comments even says "we have enhanced features in the quality that the knock off people in China do not have." If the Boom Bx has "enhanced features" over the Touch Speaker, why not make that a unique selling point and say it upfront in the project page instead of just commenting about it. Also, "the knock off people in China", isn't the Boom Bx suppose to be manufactured in Shenzhen?
