Great to have some insight into the history of Idle No More. As a Canadian who grew up in a relatively privileged place it's definitely hard to intuitively understand where some of these conflicts come from. I'm guilty of thinking of social conflicts as being something that happens abroad, and I tend to pay more attention to American politics than my own (much more drama, I suppose.)

It's understandable. Canadians have a bit of an inferiority complex when it comes to the importance of our national politics.
