I never got better than silver, and all I wanted to do was play at gold or platinum, just to get there, and then I'd stop. But I realized I had logged something like 2 months of real-time playing over a few years, and that I wasn't going to get any better just open-endedly playing. Different part of my life, that was something like a year ago I quit. I realized if I spent a fraction of that time doing anything else, it'd probably be a better use of my time.
