How to sew. This is one of those skills that everyone used to have a basic knowledge of, but no longer do. Like ironing, or cooking. I can't tell you how many times I've been travelling and knowing how to sew, be it a button or how to mend a tear or whatever would have come in handy.
Fortunately, I am usually able to run into compassionate people when I have these kinds of problems, but I'd like to be able to handle anything that life throws my way without mangling it too much.
