And even with newer technologies comes new trades. Machine repair techs, manufacturing type support, nursing, IT support jobs, etc. I have a two year degree in IT Networking, which I would consider a trade, and have a very great and secure career. I spent very little on my education, got to go to work sooner, and make far more than all of my peers. Trades are good, and not everyone needs a four year degree or that kind of pressure and investment to live a "successful" life.The world needs more carpenters than anthropologists
