I know a few guys who mined. I almost did it a couple times. I beat the ever-loving shit out of their returns through judicious application of capital, but if you don't have 32ETH, you have more analysis to do. Mining allows you to start with nothing but video cards and end up with nothing but imaginary money. Staking allows you to start with nothing but real money and ending up with imaginary money.
