Could you explain the part I bolded out? The way I see, the longer war persists, the more Russia is dependent on China's willingness to cooperate economically while being itself strained by conflict's costs and sanctions. Wouldn't Russia weakened/broken by prolonged war, regardless of outcome, be a benefit to China?
