It's not a stretch to say that Kerbal Space Program was inspired in many ways by the Soviet design ethos. Searching for "Kerbal Space Program NASA" gets you a bunch of links about how NASA is embracing KSP. Searching for "Kerbal Space Program Soviet" gets you a bunch of guys recreating Soviet air and spacecraft in KSP. Ekranoplans in particular are ripe. I counted ten different Youtube videos of Ekranoplan builds... and the most decent shot of the VVA-14 is a KSP build. I guess that guy literally makes weird historical shit in KSP and turns it into Youtube videos.
