My wife and i recently joined a community center so that we can exercise and swim. The center has a really amazing set of outdoor pools. One of them is an olympic sized pool with diving boards and is heated year round to 80*. The other is a family pool that has fountains and "splash" areas as well as a totally kick ass water slide.
We went to the pool for the first time tonight and after playing in the water with my family, I made my way over to the water slide. This thing is no joke, it was fast, steep and a lot of fun! I was the only adult that went on it. There was about a 2 minute line to go down and it was all 5-10 year olds and then me. -Must have been a sight. Anyways, there were a couple of overweight kids but one in particular was very heavy. Obese really. He went down the waterside and got stuck half way. The water pressure wasn't enough to support his size. He had to manually inch his way down the slide. It was really sad.
