I have never been impressed with a performance by him, and have often thought he just plain sucked. A lot of the movies he's been in I also disliked: 21 Jump Street, Dear John, She's the Man, Magic Mike. His cameo in The End of the World was funny, but would have been just a funny with any other actor. The only film I remember liking with him in a big role was Foxcatcher, but it wasn't his performance that I liked, I'm a big fan of both Carell and Ruffalo. I admit I haven't seen Hateful 8 yet and I'm excited for Hail, Caesar! but I don't know how big of a role he plays in those films.
