I have a new kitten. Her name is Ruth. (You can call her Ruthie.) She is going to help Ezekiel (the orange one) be less lonely. They are already adorable if slightly flea-bitten. Zeke is orange and white and she is black and orange so to me, they make a perfect compliment. Imgur won't let me rotate the photo. Bah, imgur!

I have written every day but 1 out of the last 13. That's pretty awesome. I feel the bug and the passion coming back. I needed that.

I have two new poetry books waiting for me at home (but I am NOT ALLOWED to start them until I finish my Edna St. Vincent Millay) and I'm terribly excited for both - Dorothy Parker and Marina Tsvetaeva.

The guy I have been dating has been sick these last few days. While I feel sorry for him, I've definitely capitalized on the free time and caught up with a number of friends. Enough to feel satisfied. Many people have come over to meet the kitten.

I might or might not be having my mid year review today. I have a meeting with my manager but it's a regularly scheduled catch up. On the other hand, like, it's about time to do the mid-year. Still hoping I'll get surprise promoted but kind of feel like they would have told me about that by now if it was happening. I have this theory that they let the promoted people know about their advancements before they do mid-years with the rest of the peons. But that theory seriously doesn't come from anywhere except something a former coworker said a few years ago. I guess I can still be hopeful! ;)
