The amp/car story is a bummer. I think it's good to struggle a bit when you are young. Having to make decisions like that help you to appreciate the things you have later in life. I will buy another Les Paul someday and I will buy a vintage Fender Super Reverb amp. I'm going to appreciate them all the more for having lost them once.
