What I've seen in /r/thebutton so far: - People quickly dividing into pressers and non-pressers thanks to the flairs - Non-pressers holding firmly to their abstinence, wanting to see what happens when the timer runs out - Pressers urging to-be future pressers to not press so early, or the number of valid user accounts who can push it will run out - Other pressers boasting how low of a timer they got before they pressed ("Hey lookatme I'm a 50s-er") - Some curious folks wondering what the button actually does by peeking into the code - Some other curious folks actually logging down the timer refreshes for science - Many speculating on these button shenanigans All in all I think reddit just proved that the community can rally behind even imaginary causes - or at least they're very good at playing the roles. Oh and that there will be people who would do everything to get to the bottom of even a seemingly silly thing like a button with a timer.
