My friend scrimetime introduced me to the writing of Christopher Hitchen's and loves any post involving The Band. fr33lunch has introduced me to seasonal cooking and free soloing and is in general.. awesome. sounds_sound introduced me to the architecture of Louis Kahn how cool is that? and alpha0 has introduced me to music from around the globe that I otherwise would have never heard. Saydrah has helped shape my views on woman's reproductive rights and NotPhil's posts have helped to inform my knowledge of everything from philosophy to human psychology and someday I'm going to buy b_b a nice bottle of Scotch. I could go on and my guess is that any number of us could post such accounts of each other. This is what makes a site like this special, whether it be Hubski or elsewhere. I can't speak for the other sites, I don't use them but I like it here. I like it because of the people and not in spite of them.
