Sure, but not a given. It is plausible that someone that skips a meal would then eat more later to compensate. It's also possible that regularly skipping a meal could reduce your metabolism, or your change propensity to build fat. My guess is that a 408 kcal deficit would not be completely undone by these effects, however. Part of this post is motivated by confirmation bias. I skip breakfast.
