I hope you got to spend a few days in Lima, as well. I know you have a keen interest in food. Lima is such an amazing culinary city. Lots of ceviche, barbecued octopus, things like that, and, of course, pisco sours, which might be the most amazing and magical alcoholic beverages on the planet (pisco--a region specific brandy, lime juice, sugar, and egg white all mixed in a blender). If you didn't, I would highly recommend doing so if you go back.
