All SNAP participants will see a drop in their benefits on November 1, 2013 – the average decrease will be $36 for a family of four. Over the entire year, the average family of four will have $396 less to spend on food.

That's a scary thought, less money to spend on food while the price of food is increasing. Old information at this point, but still powerful. I typically spend between $30 and $40 a week on food, and that covers most of my meals. I'll go over if there's something complex that needs a lot of ingredients, but that's it. Can't wait until I have a good paying job that will allow me to buy higher quality food and ingredients outside of when I go to the Farmer's Markets around here.

Having to do something like with a family would be a very hard task.
