I remember that conversation and I'm glad that you're putting stuff out there! nowaypablo did something similar a couple days ago too (in case anyone forgot). Anyway, I bring that up and thenewgreen's recent post (oh yeah and ghostoffuffle had a couple of things . . . before he got ghosted) because I know on hubski there have been discussions of process here and there, on and off for as long as I've been on the site and sometimes people lean toward "don't show anyone anything until it's ready, or they'll inevitably think back to that first draft" which I do think is sometimes true, but on hubski I'd disagree.

For one thing, I think that attitude of showing off polished pieces is very useful for dealing with people who will buy the finished thing or expect a certain level of polish, as an audience would. However, because there are so many people on hubski working on different things I think that showing off our work in progress can be useful to get ideas on process and to open things up to new perspectives (or I hope so anyway).

I'm used to hearing the electronic stuff from you and I think it's really interesting to get a look at how people approach music using different sound palettes. Is the process for writing something like this very different from your electronic stuff?
