I don't disagree with you. I would just add that the idea that the small up and coming artist are the ones that will suffer doesn't carry any weight with me either. That's always the sheep's clothing that legislation like this wears. "we're protecting the little guy". Bull shit. Independent artists aren't the ones that had a problem with Napster, just like they aren't the ones that have a problem with piracy now. You're right, SOPA/PIPA were written by giant entertainment/media conglomerates to protect their money, but more than that to preserve their dominance.
