He never argued that he was anything less than "bombastic". You can't call mother theresa a lying, thieving, dictator and not say there's some bombast there. He was pretty up front about that.
I didn't always agree with his work but I always enjoyed reading it. That imo is the mark of a good writer.
Was a contrarian? Sure. But we need contrarians and it's always nice when the devils advocate can write well.
I'd say the same of your writing KB, I don't always agree with it but I almost always enjoy reading it.
