I'm going to be out of the country and unreliably wifi'd for the next couple of months, effective soon. I also missed last Sunday because of travel and moving and work and shit. In short, I'm a hopeless fraud and I'm looking to pass the torch.
EDIT: for legitimacy, the new Daft Punk album was completely out of left field and this is maybe the saddest song ever.
I'll do it. I always look forward to these threads. Altar of Plagues - Teethed Glory and Injury. Black metal. I'm sure they didn't do an interpretive dance video just to further annoy the wasp-in-a-can and clown makeup purists, but it's been fun to watch the reactions anyway. Gloga - Dregs in Bloom. Warm electronic thing A Ravens/To the Lovers, Farewell split. Noise
Thanks bfv, I always look forward to that post and I'm glad it will stick around! Safe travels flagamuffin!
Daft Punk's newest album is fantastic. It's exactly what I wanted and expected it to be - a loving tribute to late 70s disco and synth music, an attempt to capture what made that genre so great with 21st century production values. It's a fucking ridiculous idea but one that is taken to such lengths as to be rendered a worthwhile one. Perhaps I'll calm down. I feel like if I read any reviews it'll ruin it. Anamanaguchi's latest album Endless Fantasy is really good. Planet and Meow remain my favourite tracks on the album. You should listen to them. I'm going to listen to Vampire Weekend's latest "Modern Vampires of the City" tomorrow, it's been a pretty hectic day today and all I want to do is sleep. Step is so catchy. Wisdom's a gift, but you'd trade it for youth? Right on.
