Should've just linked to the interactive map which highlights city locations and stuff.
Great, my entire country is gone. We'll just have to drain the oceans!.
Question the fuck out of the word "biopunk" because it's a stupid word. Basically all the technology in Clockwork Girl is bred because something something energy crunch. You either roll with it or you don't. I recommend "roll with it" as the book is every bit as immersive as Neuromancer was backintheday. The problem with Waterworld is it cost too much by a factor of 1000. It was never intended to be a big budget blockbuster - it was supposed to be another Steel Dawn. Imagine it cheap and shitty and starring Jan Michael Vincent instead of Kevin Costner and it'd be awesome and you know it.
No, but you can zoom in. Believe it or not, I actually check out questionable properties I'm interested in on there. "waterfront" might be "on stilts" in 50 years and that delta mud that's so great for raspberries right now? Gonna be great for oysters by the time my grandchildren own it.
I'm a bit surprised that the great lakes don't increase in size, they're fed by waterways that would be effected by this.
