I'm slightly interested as to what groups have Netherlands genes in them. The article says they found 1 to 4 percent in Eurasian people. That is a pretty large area of the world and would assume that all groups, except those born in Africa, have some neanderthal DNA in them.

Reminded me of this scene from the movie Braveheart:
The understanding I've had has been that cro magnons had a more agile palate and bigger sinuses, allowing for more versatility of spoken language - not any language, just spoken language. This allowed for more versatility in the field and a more complex social structure simply because of a deeper lexicon. I haven't seen "neandertals were stupid" since maybe 2nd grade.
