I saw a Casio I thought would be a neat souvenir when I was in Japan last year. Almost bought it. Then realized I had missed a factor of 10 in the conversion. Didn't want to spend $1000 on a Casio.

Technically? a Malaysian NH35.

I got nothing bad to say about NH35s, though, and nothing bad to say about Malaysia. I've taken a few apart and put fewer back together. They're delightful little things.

a made-in-Malaysia NH35 was one of my first, in a Seiko 5 (what else)

I just wasn't expecting a Seiko part in a Casio.

The hilarious bit is the lathes everyone - including the Swiss - use to fabricate their parts are made by Citizen.
