EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THIS Why was this posted two days ago, and doesn't have a single comment? THIS is the news that needs to be read, distributed, and followed up on. A Senator. Arrested AT HER WORKPLACE. For standing NEAR protestors. Never charged. Never formally arrested. Held for more than a day in jail. Attempted strip search. Imagine standing in the lobby of your office. Your cell phone, car keys, and lunch at your desk. An officer walks up to you, handcuffs you, and throws you in a paddy wagon with a bunch of people you don't know. You go to jail and they try to strip search you. No phone. No miranda rights. Nothing. This is the everyday experience of a large portion of our American neighbors. It's insane.
