I don’t disagree with anything you write. That said, it was worth watching for me because of the scenes with Luke - I thought Mark Hammil was awesome. The scenes between Kylo and Rey are amazing too.

Actually, the one thing I will disagree with you on is the “Kylo was bad then turned good, then bad again” thing. He was never “good,” he was doing what all those on the dark side do, trying to conscript an apprentice to help them rule the galaxy. He was trying to catch a fly with honey.

One awful, truly shitty moment you failed to mention was the Maz Kanata scene, which looked like a video game and made zero sense. “Master code breaker” wtf? Then, they never even meet this guy? Wtf? That whole casino scene is rediculous.

I give this movie 6.5/10. Only because the acting is actually pretty great. But to your point their great efforts are in support of a lame script.

Also, why wouldn’t we have been seeing spaceships light-speeding through other ships all the fucking time piloted by droids?

So many reasons this movie fails.

I left confused too. Did I like this? Some of it, a lot. Did I hate this? Some of it, a lot.
