yes, sometimes not knowing what they look like is good. On a different site nobody posted any photos up and my mind used to make up what ppl looked like from what they said (kind of like reading a book...which is why movies ruin everything!) but then somebody did so that put an end to that! As for logging out and knowing you'll see them again...well, I ment, just in the general sence of the internet...especially in chatrooms and boards though:) Some-day, 'your' account will be gone and unless you keep an eye on the site it was on....all the people you never asked about will be just little memories...you'll know what they said but that will be that:-/

Also.....:).....You ran a marathon? :D:D that's awesome! Are you in practice for one or did you run and win one? :) Thank you:) I look forward to all of everything too:)

I guess I've never used any chat-rooms or message boards other than Hubski, so this is really my first go at it. I do appreciate your comparison to books/movies though. Last night my wife and I watched the Masterpiece Theater version of Wuthering Heights and while it was a nice production, my first thought was "That's not what Heathcliff looks like"!

I should clarify that I ran a half marathon which is 13.1 miles. I certainly did not "win", but I did accomplish my goal which was to run and finish. It is a pretty remarkable thing giving the fact that only 3 or 4 months ago I could not have ran more than 3 miles without stopping. I've been training pretty regularly. I used to loathe the idea of running but now I actually crave it. It all started with this declaration.

-Life outside of the Internet is no different really. I have moved through life making new friends and acquaintances, some that stay in my life and others that fade off in to memory. There are people that I have met through Hubski that I hope to know beyond this experience. But even if that doesn't happen and they fade off in to memory, I'm glad to have had their impact on my life.

I wanted to let you know that I read your poem the morning before I ran and I really enjoyed it. I thought about it while on the trail. You're a gifted writer, I look forward to reading more.

Have a great day.
