I agree with you, it is very important to consider what it is you are subjecting yourself to. Why people want to voluntarily subject themselves to gruesome images etc is beyond me.-Which is why I haven't been reading SK for years. That being said, not all SK books are like this or are even necessarily "scary". A good example is the book I referenced "Eyes of the Dragon". -He's a gifted story teller, for sure.

I am prepared to believe that. He also appears to be one those super smart types that entirely manage to put the average person at ease. Saw another more recent clip on youtube in one of those cable tv shows -- perhaps the big O herself; just hanging around and chewing the fat and being witty. A huge social gift, in my book, and likely a sign of true intelligence. (SK' - that guy probably went around intimidating most everyone.)
