I overheard a doctor talked about "Nun Study" to his residents the other day, I decided to look it up. It's interesting that the linguistic complexity in the writings at an early age can predict the risk of developing Alzheimer's later on. It makes me self-conscious about my writing now......I'll stop here :)
and, in an especially striking finding, that early language ability may be linked to lower risk of Alzheimer's because nuns who packed more ideas into the sentences of their early autobiographies were less likely to get Alzheimer's disease six decades later
And my English teachers were always pushing me to be more concise... I have two aunts that just passed away. One great great aunt at 100, and one great aunt at 103. They were both very positive and active people, -good conversationalists as well. I saw my great aunt at my grandmother's funeral a couple of years ago, and I was struck by her demeanor. At her younger sister's funeral, she was smiling and laughing more than most. She was 101 at that time. Why be unhappy? The result is that you end up dead. Best to enjoy this bizarre existence while you can.

I wish the rest of the religious world could read this and realize that organ donation is alright "in the eyes of God". -I mean, if a nun can donate her Brain, why can't a child sign off and donate their fathers Kidney? -Great post btw, I too don't want to analyze my writing. Some things are better left unknown :)
