I've been in Good 'Ol Canada for exactly a week now. This Friday there's an introduction for International students and an event so I hope I'll meet people that way.

Liking my courses pretty much. Two Philosophy courses (one about ethics and another about the philosophy of science), two Geography (learning to program Python and one about the environment) and one Urban Studies course.

Did some more grocery shopping today, and holy balls I miss my cheap Lidl / Aldi store. Especially healthy food, sadly. Seven items - $25. I know Safeway isn't the cheapest but the Superstore isn't much cheaper (and I need a car for that).

No Aldis in Canada, or just not near you? I'm sorry.

Costco memberships pay for themselves, if they have that where you are.

Nope, no Aldis. There is a Costco however. But the problem is that I only buy food for myself and Costco is mostly bulk, right?

Yeah, but depending how you shop it might be worth it -- that refers to a family and I'm not sure how the numbers hold up when you're shopping solo. Plenty of stuff can be bought in bulk and stored, though.

I am surprised by the savings. I don't think it'll fit my two shelves of fridge space though.

Probably not. Life's hard. :(

I'm taking philosophy of science too!

We'll have to compare notes sometime.
