I took a week long vacation, just before that my coworker quit. When I returned my department manager got fired. I am now the only person in my department.

I meet with management in a couple hours. I expect the company to offer me a raise (finally) and her position. But I'm not happy, I think they mistreated her and that it was wrong for them to fire her. Sadly I expect the same sort of heavy workload and lack of support if I take the position.

For the time being I want to take the position if it's offered, but negotiating terms is not going to be fun. I hope I'm ready. I'm nervous as hell.
