Call me crazy, but this stuff does matter. I think about fonts and colors all the time. I'll use one browser over the other for the design. I'm convinced that many people that do this won't admit it to themselves.
I'm looking for a new PC because my Lenovo died. I went to Best Buy the other day to browse, and everything they have looked like shit, -crappy plastic shit. My ThinkPad was boxy and the screen was even off center, but it was solid and purposeful looking. Look at this bad boy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Macintosh_128k_transparenc... That is class.
