    Holy fuck, where do I start with that one. It took almost FORTY HOURS to get the system up to date! Afterwards, the updates were copious, took a long time and were by far the most underwhelming part of Windows.

Now do it for 400 PC's running 15+ proprietary bits of software that each need to be tested each update cycle (because updates always break shit) while also protecting the end user community from itself. Welcome to Sysadmin 101.

I'm really impressed with Ubuntu. If all you want is a web surfing box? IT JUST WORKS. Linux runs well on basic hardware as well. I wish that there was a way to make my end user community smarter so they can handle the transition to Linux.
