Out here we have a ton of Amish and "traditional" cattle farms. Grass-fed beef tastes better smoked, that is something I can say 100%. Steaks when aged properly then cooked rare/Medium rare? I'm not so sure. Not eating all the antibiotics and growth hormones from the stuff I get, however, is a bonus that I am happy to pay extra for. And the only people I trust to give me the good stuff are the ones closest to the farms. I'm rather pay a bit extra and help out the people closest to my food.
