Epic6 seems like it would hit that sweet spot of how I want my players to feel powerful without getting complacent or bogged down. I think I'm looking at either Epic6, the Basic set you linked above, or Microlite74 Swords and Sorcery. They all seem like good systems, I just need to figure out which fits my setting best now.
