We are actually working on some changes that will make it much easier to blog through Hubski if you want. It's something that I have wanted to do as well. There's not too much functional difference between a personal tag and a blog, so it won't be difficult to do without much disruption.
Definitely share ideas as you have them.
It's little wonder about imgur's TOS. I doubt they object to the use here, as it is exactly the same as on Reddit's, but I doubt they would let Medium get away with it.
