Great article - interesting AND informative! This brings me back to days in calculus class, where I was the only girl who played chess or even knew how to. A friend asked me how to play and it genuinely blew my mind because I've always assumed everyone knows how to play and is up for the challenge. I agree with the "stereotype threat" though. Occasionally, I get the, "Wait, you can play chess?" and I honestly just don't care to get into a dick measuring contest.
