The first one that comes to mind - and we've commented this before - is Os Mutantes. Very Beatlesque. More recently and outside of things I hear, there's Oasis. They seem beatly. Wikipedia lists the ELO as influenced by the Fab Four. Whenever I hear their name, I always think "maybe I should check them out", but I always forget.
It's a good question. Right now, I'm not in a "modern music" period, but I'm definetly checking out Emitt Rhodes.
