Who is "we"?

I recall a huge demo in Washington DC with troops ranging from Free Mumia crowd to your next door granny and grand children march against the pending war against Iraq. I remember the crowds from back in '79 in demos against the Shah. This wasn't a million "we certainly did learn our lessons" march, but I would venture to guess ten of thousand (my guess <= 200k) of Americans marched.

The next day the Washington Post and the New York Times reported precisely nothing on their front page. The Post I believe buried it somewhere in "metro" section!

We already knew the lessons. No one seems to listen to "we the people" anymore.
