Football and violent sports in general don't really appeal to me, to be honest. The controversies surrounding domestic violence in the NFL is something that bothers me also. Football players making millions of dollars, while I struggle to pay rent doesn't appeal to me: It's all a distraction. The NFL is considered a "non-profit" -- can you believe that!? How can anyone in their right mind stand behind this? I don't support the NFL, NHL, NBL, or anything like that. These people are banking billions from my tax dollars. The system in place to even watch sports is also a bit worrying. It's a slippery slope. I need a flat screen TV with HD reception to watch the game. I have to pay the electricity the TV consumes to watch the game. Which later translates to more money out of my pocket. Then, there's the snacks, and pizza, and drinks... The cycle keeps cycling, the machine keeps machining. We live in Rome, and this is the Colosseum.
