When I think of someone as privileged, including myself (because I am fairly privileged, having started life at least one base further toward a home run than my parents), I don't necessarily mean it as an insult. It's an observation on how much they haven't had to work for or cobble together themselves to get to where they are that others did. Where 'privileged' can be an insult is when one implicitly includes the statement 'short-sighted, unempathetic prick'.
