The promotional video for these glasses perfectly matches how I imagined the functionality of the yellow tinted virtual reality glasses in Daemon. Daemon is the first of two technothrillers by Daniel suarez. It depicts a socioeconomic revolution led by a near-omnipotent computer program. The second book, Freedom™, is a continuation of Daemon and is more directly concerned with the creation of a new society as opposed to the destruction of the old one. The glasses act as a means of communication and productivity. The glasses act as a means of controlling construction machinery, designing parts, et cetera. I would absolutely purchase these if not for the three and a half grand price tag. Though perhaps in 2-5 years they will drop considerably in price and improve considerably in looks.
