I work at this company in Montreal. One of the reasons why we don't shoot porn in Montreal is because it is a closed market. Meaning, it would be difficult for us to do without running into problems with the mafia, because most of the girls would be affiliated with organized crime, or would lie about it. It has been said that today, organized crime in North America is Montreal. It simply doesn't compare in New York or Chicago like it used to back in the day.
This is a bullshit reason however. Companies shoot porn in Montreal all the time. It's more of a 'don't shit where you eat' attitude, where they'd prefer to keep the nastiness away from the pristine, corporate office. Most of the shooting is done in LA.
