Altogether too many words to communicate a very simple point. I'm not poor anymore, but I sure was when I was younger, and we ate pasta and biked everywhere. That wasn't my decision; it was my parents, so I've wondered how I would deal if I myself were truly poor. I hope I would stay rational but caving in for that status symbol, that's something I understand.
