A great disruption ought to occur. A disruption that compels our society to change its values. Just like our values changed from that of a slave-owning people to an evolved society where people can't be property, I envision a future where our biosphere and it's fellow inhabitants are a bigger priority, where homelessness or hunger isn't a waking reality for billions of people. We have the wherewithal, just not the will. And I say this disruption ought to occur, but in reality it will. Our habits aren't infinitely sustainable, and if we don't start changing our behavior, the natural laws of physics will take over and force a great disruption upon us. Makes one want to build an post-apocalyptic shelter, eh?
